Case:

State v. JW

Charges:

Felony Harassment & Domestic Assault

Outcome:

All charges dismissed

J.W. hired our firm just before trial was scheduled to begin. He was unhappy with his previous representation and wanted to fight the charges against him. The charges resulted from a heated argument in a long tumultuous relationship with his wife. However, J.W. was adamant that he had done nothing illegal or violent during that argument.
The case was scheduled for trial and the prosecutor wanted J.W. to plead guilty to a felony offense. As the trial approached, we argued for the charges to be dismissed, but the prosecutor refused to budge. On the evening before the trial, we made one last attempt to have the charges dismissed prior to trial. The prosecutor relented and all charges against J.W. we dismissed.
